Biography
He was born in Parma. He graduated from the "A. Boito" Conservatory of Parma with m° Renzo Cabassi and m° Enrico Tagliavini.
He appeared for the first time in front of the public at the age of fourteen and since then has regularly given concerts over the world. As a soloist he has collaborated and still collaborates with prestigious orchestras, conductors and soloists, amongst which: the Great State Orchestra of Saint Petersburg, the Bruch Philharmonic, Theatre Regio Orchestra of Parma, The Mettensis Symphony Orchestra, I Solisti del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Accademia Farnese, Great Opera Theatre della Bielorussia, Bari Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra “Arturo Toscanini”, G. Neuhold, C. Scimone, P. Guarino, A. Campori, H. Soudant, A. Galanov, C. F. Farncombe, C. Casadei, C. Gasdia, R. Bruson, R. Blake, J. M. Rodilla, Szabò Quartet, G. Horsh, C. Thompson, D. Riondino, C. Gonzales, D. Ferschmann, David Watkins, Ilya Grubert, Vladimir Mikulka, Georges Kiss, Carlos Bonell. He has performed in duo with the great venezuelan guitarist Alirio Diaz.
As well as performing for RAI he has performed for various national and foreign radio and television stations (ORF, RTL, All India, RTP, Montreal TV), some of which have dedicated monographic programmes to his music. Between 1985 and 1992 he was the guitarist in the theatres: "Regio” in Parma, "Romolo Valli" in Reggio Emilia and "Comunale” in Modena. He has made twenty-odd records under the following recording companies: "Koch International- Europa Musica", Fonit-Cetra, "Mondo Musica" in Munich, and Warner Fonit some of which have won prestigious international awards. His work as reviewer has been published with the Publishers "Suvini Zerboni” and he is the director of “Qitara Collection” for the Mnemes Edition. He has taught at various Accademy of Music (Bari. Trieste,Brescia, Parma) and is at present at the “Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali Achille Peri " in Reggio Emilia. He has held courses and has attended master class in many parts of Italy and in the: Music University of Montevideo in Uruguay, Music Centre of London, Music Schule of Bruch in Austria, International Accademy of Assisi, University of San Paolo in Brazil and the Pearson College in Victoria, Canada. He is Artistic Director of the Accademia Tadini of Lovere (Bergamo). He is a Member of Giury in some important International Competitions.
